A Comment on Lauren's editorial on gays.

I disagree, mostly because i understand that we cannot have civil liberties without having morality as well. Morals are what keep our liberties in check, so that we wont exploit them to our benefits whenever we feel that we start to feel entitlement to every life-style that pleases.
Our liberty is the right to PURSUE happiness, not a guarantee that we will be! The reason that America sticks to core values is because the Framers knew that there will always be people trying to exploit, twist and analysis that constitution to their own benefit.
When you talk about hurting anyone, it in fact does, because the mind set that homosexuals carry are unrealistic. How can they, being of the same sex, be compatible and true mates for each other? They cannot, one of my teacher talked about counseling for same-sex couples because they needed to establish which one would be the one to back down when they encounter normal 'couple disputes.'You cannot counsel them to take a role of something they are not, one man and one women is needed as a balance to the relationship, the intimacy, and personal understatement towards one another. They are compatible.
Government isn't oppressing anyone, people oppress themselves.

be the voice, NOT THE NOISE!!

Whose the noise and who is the ten percent who has it right but is drowned out by the NOISE? How impended is corruption in our government; not in the system itself but the people manipulating it. I believe there is something wrong with the way government is being worked today, it isn’t so much the cancelling out, but the handout they want to give us. I like being supported, but you got to know when you’re being helped and when your being crippled.
HEHE The stimulus package would make me happy and help, but what do I do when that money is gone. That is the problem with easy money, it is easily spent. How many people are going to use it to help themselves and how many are going to keep reaching in their pockets expecting the money to be never ending.
Some people in government have people believing they are the ones that need help and poor “poor” them. Yes everyone need a hand at some point in their life, but how many people stay down, dependant on government.
We hear too many stories about people in trouble and unable to get up, thank you Obama and Clinton. But how often do we hear about those in a desperate situation and are able to get themselves up? Listen, that ten percent voice is there in the mist of the outcry for help in 2008 and in an AMAZING counry full of opportunities.

Wow: Comment on **Stars & Stripes**

It seems media does tell you what to think about; only ever since we were little we were told "Don't believe everything you hear (or are told.) All the "Drive-By" Media has done is impose fear on people, that the economy my go into a recession, and when people hear this they think "Depression." No, at this time in America, there would be more obvious affects other than gas prices announcing a recession.
Just because people were unprepared in this "mortgage crisis" does not mean every other homeowner will go down the same path. After all, isn't it all in the same scenario as a credit card, these people believed if they start paying low interest in mortgage then that would give them enough time to save up when mortgage went up. Um No! Because the extra money saved would eventually be used for something different, and saving would always be put off for "Oh, I'll start next month," and so forth.
War for Oil, i don't think so; most people don't sign off their right of life to save others if they knew it was for Oil. http://www.energyrefuge.com/archives/where_oil_comes_from.htm Here they will tell you MOST DEFINITELY why it isn't reasonable to believe we'd declare war over oil over seas!
If we'd give into the "Drive-By(s)" there would be no need to go anywhere and so, just let the recession come, become more dependant on government to solve our problems, and thus surrender our freedom of choice. (choice to bring ourselves up by our own bootstraps)

Don't get Fooled

“A person is a person no matter how small,” whether they be a fetus or a delicate senior. But today I will argue for the one who will never see their conceivers face. There is a person, before breathing outside their mother’s womb, whose life will be debated over. The question will be whether or not their life is worth living outside its safe haven. And sometimes these decisions are malleably presented as ‘freedom of choice,’ and ‘It’s the best thing to do for both of you.’
The many women, girls, who come across this ‘crisis’ are people who rather not live an ascetic life, but live life without a regard of the little persons that might diminish along the way. I realize that there is conception due to a male’s corrosive act; however a life is a life no matter in what manner it came to be. Rape is the only act of plunder that produces an innocent being; the argument that the child might grow up realizing they were never wanted is not a base for an argument. How many children from married parents, nice neighbor hoods, and great opportunities, do not feel that way sometime for what ever reason? Remember in LIFE there are always moments where it seems that there was never any point.
People are worried about the economy, and when a female wants to have an abortion, okay. It puts more money in circulation, fine, but what about the gap between newborns and senior? Who will run the economy if so many possible persons are killed? Think about it, all the construction, business in America is for what? So that it can be enjoyed and run, but by who, if so many families are being advised to abstain from having children. Government should come back and re-establish the right to live!
Of course, there are always those who cannot take care of the egg that they allowed to be fertilized. But allowing them to skip out of responsibility helps no one. Today there are many people out there to help, that give an alternative to UNPLANNED PARENTHOOD. Girl or woman, all choices are not presented to them in a secular setting. It’s as if these people’s view of life is not worth living, but it is, to them it’s all about the money.
Abortion will catch up to them; it’s the delicate shattered glass on the floor outside their door. Life, regardless in its condition or size, is worth living, the faster you realize it the brighter your eyes will see.

Does MediaMatter Matter?

That’s part of “the game” politicians have made of politics. Nobody is immune to criticism, Eric Boehlert hammers on the ‘right-wing media’ when they question their candidates. But it’s all the same; both sides whine about how the badgering of their opponent discredits them and not ‘talk about the real issues.’ Enthusiasm only goes so far what are supporters going to do when their hope is left behind and candidates take on their own agenda? These people are talking about recruiting people knew to politics and educating them on ‘right-wing’ attacks, not on how politics are suppose to work. Wow, all it is going to turn out to be is ‘lefties’ pointing at their monitors when their trained eye spots a “right-wing attack machine” and say “Now it is time for me to write them a stern letter of how their distasteful accusations really are!”
This merry-go-round displays on news headlines is overwhelming, it is the same story almost the same regurgitated verbiage, only different. But again each has their own critics, bloggers and activists, all with a retort to anything the opposing wing has to write. These post only bring out how media gets the good stuff and not what matters. Just the whine and no cheese.

Supporting or hurting?

Okay, so when you’re married to the person who is trying to become our next leader, your goal is to be supportive. Now when you’re campaigning has brought nothing but negative publicity to your spouse THEN IT’S TIME TO SIT OUT, SMILE AND WAVE! Both Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton have been trying to push ahead their life partners to nomination, but each have ended up stumping them. Obama has to step in for his wife when she’s claiming that up until now she had not been proud of America! Imagine that, America so great a nation and only now is Michelle feeling that “her soul” is capable of repair. Bill Clinton’s desperate attempt to try and discredit Obama’s credibility also results in Hillary’s stumped cover-ups of his stupidity, and not a lead in polls.
How are you to elect a president when their wife’s belief is that America is lazy, or only helpful to monies, and that it is a place of nothing but struggle? How does she know?! How can she keep saying "The life that I am talking about that most people are living has gotten progressively worse since I was a little girl,” when she has not seen it? Michelle admits that she hasn’t but she was talking about the people hearing her speeches. What she was trying to do was say that with Obama she feels that she could finally be happy (as an adult) with her county and its opportunities.
America is not a country of struggle, but of work; when she says that it hasn’t been easy for people she means people aren’t able to get a free ride off of government. She is saying people have to work hard but should not have to because America should spoon feed all of her people.
She doesn’t sit right with me, just because you talk pretty doesn’t mean your intensions are.

HUndreds of area voters might have registration cancelled

WATCH OUT, anyone in Travis or Williamson county who has decided to move to another county. Some of you ready voters will be suprised on Election day because you are not registered to vote in the county you currently live in. Marty Toohay writes in statesman.com that because of a new registration law, in Texas, designed to prevent fraud and votes cast in different counties, caused confusion amoung counties and state officials. This resulted in letters reminding voters that they are registered to vote in the county they had recently moved from. Ironic isn't it, the counties send letters to voter new homes reminding them they are still registered to vote in only that county; insead of transfering their reistetration to the county they live in know. People are being cancelled because the database for registration wasn't updated with residents that have come back to Travis and Williamson county. This article is worth ready if you've moved from these places, but also relevant to anyone who has doughts on whether or not they are registered to vote, CHECK! It is always better safe than sorry. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/o117o117registration.html
